Vignerons, amitié et solidarité en Périgord Pourpre

Mardi 7 février 2017, vignerons et vigneronnes de l'appellation Montravel et du Bergeracois se sont retrouvés au Château de la Mallevieille à Monfaucon, le vignoble de Philippe Biau et de son fils Thierry Bernardinis.

Philippe Biau est responsable de la commission technique à l'INAO. Il a également présidé l'appellation Montravel, entre autres missions puisqu'il oeuvre depuis toujours pour la vie syndicale et la filière viticole locale. 

Notre ami Philippe étant souffrant depuis plusieurs mois et ne pouvant travailler dans ses vignes, nous avons décidé fin 2016 d'organiser une journée de taille au Château de la Mallevieille en faisant un appel à volontaires pour réaliser en quelques heures le travail de quelques semaines.

Sécateurs en main, 25 vignerons de tous âges (clin d'oeil aux retraités qui nous ont dit "oui" sans aucune hésitation) ont ainsi taillé la vigne et tiré les bois pendant toute la journée. Près de 4 hectares plus tard, le vignoble de la Mallevieille était nettement plus avancé. Thierry Bernardinis a encore du travail devant lui mais cette journée lui a permis d'envisager la saison de manière plus sereine.

Un grand merci à tous les vignerons qui ont participé à cette belle journée.

On s'imagine toujours qu'être collègues dans un même milieu professionnel - et plus encore dans le secteur agricole - c'est d'abord être concurrents, mais pour nous, en Montravel et en Bergerac, c'est avant tout être copains, se retrouver, se marrer et s'entraider. Et comme chez les irréductibles gaulois, ça finit toujours autour d'un banquet avec un bon breuvage locale.
